I feel like instead of romantic attraction towards his sister (like what most people assume he has), Yuri has a divine devotion to her. He clearly places Yor as an above being, and it’s obviously due to how they grew up with no parents. Yor did everything and more for Yuri, and Yuri sees this and Yor as almost like a divine savior that graced him by “saving” him and staying at a time where it seemed like he was all alone.
It’s pretty obvious that his obsession stems from untreated childhood traumas and coping, and it is upped by basically no intervention (and him also being in the literal secret service and committing violence on a daily basis clearly fucked his mental state more). This chapter was literally the first time someone went up to Yuri and told him that what he was doing was not okay. Previously everyone was just like: “oh haha what a weirdo siscon, oh well lol”
Hopefully by the end of the manga he gets the therapy that he so desperately needs. I get he is also a gag character like Frankie, but I just really hope it ends with him getting help
