Seems from this and your previous comment that you can't accept that people might have different taste. Some people enjoy flashbacks, some don't. Tbh I don't, bc author before flashbacks made us see Brian as a separate character - Ian feels inferior comparing to him, so when I read current chapters I almost feel like I'm reading someone else story not his. Ian is my fav character, not Brian and true, re-reading story make us see it in more depth when we see what happened, but now I'm kinda worried about current state of Ian instead of enjoying this dragging political situation in flashbacks.
Also dawn of the dragon is good example where most people enjoy flashbacks ( also story about reincarnation) bc they see couple as same as flasbacks one
It’s gross and not romantic since Ian and Brian are two very different people. Try to find one similarly in them except their looks. ML's are trying to turn Ian into Brian and that’s it.
it's not about differing taste if people keep reading and commenting something they dislike EVERY damn chapter.
if you eat a soup and you find out you don't like the taste and ingredients, and you told the waiter, be done with it. stop eating. or finish it in silence to see if your taste may change.
but there is no need to tell the ppl in the restaurant with every bite that you like tomato soup better, or it's too salty for your taste. especially since none of this will ever reach the cook since you're eating illegally and you don't pay lmao
let other's enjoy the story in piece, no need to remind us every chapter that you aren't liking brian or flashbacks. the story has brian and the story has flashbacks, no one's forcing you to read it.

In my opinion, @Marzzz is not complaining about people that don't like flashbacks but about the one's who think that Sol(the dragon) is being disgusting for seeing brian in ian, even if they are the same person (literally) and how they can't understand that a flashback is important to understand why it came to be like this or/and why is it like this. But i can understand that the author is only focusing on the past and that is really frustrating. The author should show the present too, that is his mistake.
For me, Brian is ian and Ian is Brian, but i think that they may seem like different persons because of the difference of what they experienced, like, having the power of magic for ian is a sin because the church determined that, but for Brian this totally normal, as it is something that from the start were considered that the god that i forgot the name gave them. For Brian the people who got him in trouble, was the ones that were trying to take advantage of him and of the citizens but for Ian was the ones who excluded him because of his power. In the flashbacks, Sol was also seeming like a different person, everyone can change based on the things that they went through.
I know that everyone is angry because of the misunderstandings between Ian, Brian and Soleite but if Sol explained to him what did actually happened, Ian would go through a mental breakdown, because he is already confused about everything that is happening and he wouldn't believe that the one who saved him in his childhood is the only one that is making everything this messy. He would feel confused, disappointed and he would have the trouble to try to accept it as the trust and doubt his "savior" or doubt Sol, his lover. I wish Soleite just explained that no matter what, that he loves him not because he is Brian, but because he is who he is, that would be really satisfying ╥﹏╥
Well, sorry if it seems offensive or something like that or if it's confusing. I'm not from U.S.A so it's really difficult for me to try to express myself in english, as it is not my language. I was just trying to explain what i understood. Surprisingly this webtoon can separate opinions pretty easily and be really confusing ╮(￣▽￣)╭

The point is that people like this story but are just tired of the backstory, which is reasonable since it includes unnecessary details and will take up the whole 2nd season. Also all the people here are pretty respectful and have a right to complain if they want to.
First of all Ian and Brian are two different people. They are literal opposites of each other, you need to re read the story. Second of all ML only approached Ian because he’s a reincarnation of Brian, he doesn’t see him as his own person and doesn’t love him.

i'm never one to pick apart peoples comments but this was ALWAYS a story about two lovers REUNITING after one of them has REINCARNATED to protect the citizens from oppression and the whole point of the story is soleite has been waiting for him while protecting everything Brian built. IT'S INCREDIBLY ROMANTIC. how can you care about ian and soleite if you don't care about why soleite sought out ian or why ian is so drawn to soleite in the first place?!? like why are you reading this if you don't care about their relationship?!? IAN IS BRIAN. these people complaining are driving me crazy. if you don't like the premise of a story, don't read it. or at least stop clogging up the comments section.
