You know I was having a similar query. The basis of sirens/mermaids is what they shared in relation to straight male sailors being led astray or to their deaths since the lore is traditional and non inclusive. But your right attraction isn’t so black and white, I was thinking what about mermen as well. I’m all for female sailors…but I’m guessing Atlantis won’t be a detour. （￣へ￣）
The mermaid singing can only attract men but what about the lesbians and gay men? I'm just trying to think of the logistics of this. Does the singing attract all men or only people attracted to women?
