Yes this one has potential but I fear that like for many others, the little plot this yaoi has is only here to serve as purpose to feed the readers the usual rapey stuff.

Agree. I think the success of these smutty rapey yaoi lies mostly on the art and smut; the more forceful the ML is, the more hot he will be drawn, that's why people keep reading despite the trash plot or poor writing. Trash plot in the sense these authors think we'll gonna eat anything as long as there's smut. No, I can't count how many I've dropped and now I'm reading mostly Shonen-Ai, soft BL because at least there's a proper plot.

People have gotten too used to toxicity in fiction, and familiarity plays a really important role when it comes to liking something. Of course, there are plenty of other psychological reasons that would take me a while to list.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. At the start mc appeared as a confident, strong individual and the the author just made him get humiliated and turned him into a submissive character for the usual dominant ml (seme). This could have been so good if the author didn't give all the power to the seme. Hell, at this point that's not even the worst part, the seme is literally a violent rapist. And i really really agree with the heteronormative part. At this point, uke is just a shoujo heroine from these sexist romance manga intended for women. I believe one of the few yaoi that don't feel heteronormative is "Shutline".

He has backbone but no support personnel. He has no one to back him up. He says he hears things so he has sources but neither does he have support nor physical strength. He couldn't even fight on a level playing field w this man let alone trying to fight him. He is cocky and swagger but im the end is so dumb. He should at least have a right hand man or personal bodyguard. His dad has a body guard. His grandfather has a right hand man. Or whatever. He just waltzes in there thinking he has the upper hand or smthng.

I had high hopes for this one based on the cover art n the first chapter. But it went downhill quick. My fav are black hair n red head characters. This one has SOO MUCH potential. I don't under stand why ppl like crazy ukes amd pairing then w abusive tops makes it ok bcz the bottom is crazy....plus, as you guys say, the power imbalance is way too much. The kid literally has ZERO manpower. He wasn't sneaky, he doesn't have bodyguards. He doesn't have leverage. For some reason he thinks his two percent charge is enough to tip the scale. Why did he mean by playing this game w me?!? Does he even know who the killer is?!? And if he's trying to kill Kang why not use some other method?!?

But even though it looks like this plot will take the same route as others I feel like the mc may have in his sleeve some unexpected plan that will blow up Kang and us the readers. I hope it's like that a bit because if not it'll just be another painful journey for us readers.
