She doesn't want him to know though. In the novel she's goes to tell him and then she changes her mind because she thinks it's shameful or something and doesn't want him to know of her humiliation. She thinks he won't want her if he knows. Which is silly cause he's wanted her since they were kids but her self confidence is below ground level.
I get all of that. But it doesn't stop it from being frustrating, especially as an audience member watching the idiocy unfold. It's like she takes two steps forward regarding her confidence and magic and then two steps back as soon as she thinks about this. It's just that it's been nearly 80 chapters and we're just inching along at a snail's pace.
He won't let her speak. And she won't say what' son her mind. It's the same back and forth over and over again of her wanting to tell him that her father didn't care for her and shit. I wish she would just come out and say it. I understand her fears and speech impediment but I really need her to just fucking say what's on her mind. Conversely, he doesn't give her room to say shit. They're just both so dumb sometimes.
