I think it's so low because not many people are rating it
I think most people don't like the realness of the story. Like we get to see her raw emotions as a victim and how she's taking steps to overcome even if it's slowly. And no one in the world communicates better at 100% some people are even worse than her. But she still tries her best and to get out of the situation she's in without giving up because she's has realised this terrible situation was not her fault, it's never the victims fault. And I feel like that's what makes this manga amazing. I hate-love it but in a good way. Annoyed to see the real world in fantasy but it's done so well I love it. Even with its few flaws
lmao why are the ratings so low? this is pretty much average and the fl is clearly a traumatized person - she's having fucking night terrors over everything she went through in her past life, her family and the prince have been abusing her all her life, and people are like "well why did you run???? why didn't you try and fight back???" same kinda shit where people are like "well i'd never let them abuse me i'd fight back" to victims like calm tf down and think
my brother in christ not everyone has the "fight" response to threats and she clearly has like no power outside of her name; her family doesn't care about her opinion and never has, the prince is literally absolutely fucking insane, and the other royals want to use her as a stabilizing force for the prince...
and like are we just gonna zoom on past the implied rape done to her by the emperor in her past life? the whole having her in chains in his bed and him talking about teaching her that he was the only option she had and that she was his?? and we know he straight up raped other women (that poor priestess), so... yeah
and she's pretty well convinced that her falling for elroy would be condemning him, which is a pretty valid response considering how her past life went - he only rebelled because of her, because he *loved* her, and that very much did lead to his death!! that was very much a thing that happened!!! do i think she could probably communicate this better? yeah, 100%, literally just tell the man "he will kill you and i don't want you to die", but... considering elroy that might just speed up the revolution timeline and she's back where she fucking started, with the man she loves dead
also i think it's neat how her second life has her actually taking her destiny into her own hands instead of just waiting for something to happen... instead of waiting for elroy to come save her, she's taking steps towards true independence which i appreciate
also also people talking about "she doesn't care about the victims of the prince" no she does, she was about to run away and that was her only goal but then had the character development throughout the priestess arc and decided to not just run off, but straight up ruin the prince so that he can't hurt people any more...
i'm not saying this is a masterpiece, but damn it doesn't suck and the fl is someone i empathize with as a victim of abuse because... yeah, it do be like that, having someone be obsessed with you is terrifying esp when you don't know what they could do to people and things you care about; i was lucky that the people who have been obsessed with me never tried to hurt the things i love, but god that fear was always there
