He’s not a minor. A lot of Asian stories say they’re a minor but technically they’re just talking about DRINKING AGE. The legal age of Japan is 18, the drinking age is 20. So he’s likely 18-19. Idk where you got that he barely touched 18 when the exact age wasn’t even confirmed. He could be 19 or turning 19- not just turned 18. I think the main issue you have is just the age gap. However by law he is a legal adult in college, and has the right to decide whoever he wants to date even if it goes against your preferences.
I think when reading Asian stories, you need to get used to the legal ages, drinking ages, what they call them- otherwise you’ll always be uncomformtable because your uninformed on the topic. That saying is very common when they’re actually talking about drinking age.
I'm probably tripping but it was stated early in the story he was 18 during his convo with the seme. And yes, I get what you mean, he is not a minor but it was stated in the manga he was, which is also confusing, it was probably to point out about his drinking age. I should have phrased that better, that was an error in my part. But still, it's just my opinion that this manga should've executed their story better.
I checked again and you’re right that it was said he’s 18 (it was in a small chibi panel so it was hard to notice), but it’s also true that he could have already been 18 for a while and would be turning 19. In my opinion, I think it’s okay since they both are considered adults and are mutually consenting. It was also the Uke who initiated and wanted him to do it.
Anyways in Asian stories they say “I’m a minor” a lot despite not being considered one and is actually talking about drinking age. And example is BL motel, where the younger guy says he’s a minor but he’s actually 20 years old and was just talking about not being 21 to be able to drink. So just advice to keep in mind that when it comes to people in college saying they’re a minor they’re likely talking about drinking not legal age
Yeah, I got the idea of it, still feels weird to call themselves minor for that kind of thing since I myself is asian and we don't use such terms like that even in college haha. But yes, both ends gave consent and that's fine. I just wished the thing with their sex was at the end not the start. Just feels misplaced that's all

And it made me uncomfortable with the repeat saying that he was kind of a minor (since I heard legal age was 21 there in japan or something) gives me a weird feeling
