Well, he's a secret agent, and a black agent at that so of course, he's had his fair share of killing bad guys. They assumed mc was one of them, which is why ml agreed to go in and kill him. He's not a hired assassin though. Just a secret agent - a black agent.
no ml had nothing to do with the official case. he was hired by the victim's widow for purely personal reasons and it seems like he was blackmailed into doing so by the widow.
i still don't understand how he could be an agent and an assassin at the same time... like he's killed people before and was gonna kill mc, but still gets to keep his official job?
