Like I blame mostly on him but both his wife and other nobles fed the bs to him that no matter what as the eldest he would be next head and we'll... it went straight to HIS head.
Is he the eldest son or the eldest child? I don’t remember but I think he’s the eldest son and Shannet is the eldest child. I’m honestly confused as to how he turned out so bad. I think it was mentioned that their mother died when he and his brothers were too young to remember her well. So his most formative years were probably spent with the wrong crowd, which is what led to this.
Anyway, yes I totally agree. He’s so obsessed with his own pride and ego that he doesn’t see anything else. Shannet was right. They’re Lombardis so they don’t need to cater to anyone else. Even the royal family has to pay attention to them. His so called “noble” pride consists of catering to everyone else, which only makes him look bad because everyone else can see him doing it. And they’re laughing at him because he’s a Lombardi but he’s catering to them instead. Exhibit A: his wife. I’m pretty sure she’s playing him like a fiddle and is a part of the Angenas’ plan to bring down the Lombardi family.
