I have a theory. It's based on what Bada said - he said he's been in the game so long he is starting to forget his real self and his real life memories are fading...
So what if Doha is someone who used to be a player but his memories faded so he became an NPC? And what if all the characters there aren't really NPC's in the same way?
I see ur point bcs some of these npcs started gaining awareness. But waht I'm somcfused abt is....WHY NOW. Whys shit going down now, whys Doha acting .....unorthodox in this life.
Like r we just meant to....know that it's just part of his npc character to have no morals?
Something tells me Mr Red eyes might be a killer himself OUTSIDE of that games world.
The way that he wasn't even remotely shaken up, when he gained knowledge about being trapped on a loop with a killer.
How easy it's been for him to kill right of the bat (and how he keeps hinting his enjoyment of doing so)
How he was right off the bat willing to commit torture without the slightest hesitation, how he seems to have a vast knowledge of physical and psychological torture and manipulation. Knowing specific methods of doing so and got low-key but unhidden pleasure and enjoyment from it.
His complete lack of attachment and feelings for the group members. We know that he hasn't known all of them for a long time but even in situations like these you tend to have empathy shock and kind of mental breaks from going through situations watching people you were traveling with die. (Exactly like how our ML did. Yes he's adapted to it, but he's still fighting to save everyone and cares, plus it's recalled through narration that it took him time to go through those stages) Yet Doha feels NOTHING for or about those group members.
They're both in knowledge of the game but where as our MC is viewing it as having to complete the game to save himself and his cousin and his group members, Doha (is now helping yes) but he is enjoying the ride of it.
He has only displayed FASCINATION for our main character. This is being shown through physical intimacy. But the fascination occurred only AFTER our main character has shown he can mentally engage /fascinate him.
Our main character is playing THE GAME, but Doha ISN'T , he's playing our MC.
Something tells me he's going to start getting VERY annoyed and irritated when the other group members keep gaining knowledge of the situation and interfering with him and the MC, and judging by how we've seen him so far play our main character I think he's going to "play with " the other characters as well but in a MUCH more negative way. (Such as killing some of them himself, manipulating them to turn on each other, etc behind our MC's back)
And again I think this bc I think that he is definitely not a killer in this game, but that he IS a completely separate and unrelated killer outside of the game, in their real world / outside the loop.
