I agree with you. Dan witnessed abuse since his childhood from the loa sharks and was constently beaten by these thugs from we don't know since when, so blaming him because he's too weak or not opposing resistence is forgetting his background and where he's coming from. Since always the boy has lived in a violent environment, he's learned to adapt and to survive, even learned to self gaslight away his suffering... This is frustrating to see him so submissive but we should take into account his past, and between the evils, the lesser is definitely being with Jaekyung for the moment.
That said, he's not in the obligation to fall in love with Jaekyung, and my issue with our pretty boy is that he's falling in love with his abuser, and too fast btw...
Totally, but some bl be like that, I see him falling in love with him as a trauma response and victims often take the bare minimum into account “example he thinking that sex is not always bad or the jacket thing” . the actor (I don’t remember his name XD ) saying he is love with jk was like the seed of doubt for Dan. What we need is a miracle character that tells that what he is experiencing is not normal nor okay so doc can’t try and think and realized the situation so he can break of his trauma responses but alas I don’t think is gonna happen jk is pretty violent with everyone and all of the them “forgive him” and even admire him. So let’s buckle up for what’s next （￣へ￣）
Yeah... Falling in love with the abuser can be in this case a way to cope with a difficult situation; to make it more livable in a sense.
What's sure is Dan has the syndrom of the victim, resulted from his long life as a victim since very young... It's scary how our brain can fabricate tales and delusions only for us to survive and bear some traumas, but there will be the counter effects of such psychological mechanism also (bad memory, a form of amnesia, loss of self-confidence, ptsd...), whic is different from resilience too.
The actor's name is Heesung. I think he also told Dan that Jaekyung has feelings for Dan as well (?), which is confusing for the doc, because JK shows no sign or affection nor care towards Dan for the moment. I'm agree that it'll be good to see someone enough courageous; someone who's aware of their (s*x) relationship that will tell Dan he's delusional and what is doing JK to him is not right. We can only hope for that, but I'm not expecting so much, honestly.
JK being the absolute star in MMA and amongst them is kinda impressive and I guess he's also the one who brings money to their club, so these guys and the coach can only react as his minions...
The plot was written in a way that everything was tied up closely and Dan having no choice but depend on Jaekyung for evrything. And even if he were to run away, JK would hunt him down and take him back; even if his grandma were to die, this will not change his fate. This situation was made possible because the author gave all the power to a character and nothing to the other.

I cant stand people getting mad at Dan for not defending himself, Dan had a traumatic life and has been abused by circumstances at least since his teen years, for him the abuse is normal. Also his abuser here is mf boxer pals, him defending himself will land him in the hospital. When you are in an abuse relationship you learn to become quiet and submissive because sometimes your life depends on it, and here is not his life alone is his grandma too. If you want to simpatice with jk because whatever reason Ok. But he is an abuser that only sees Dan as a tool and that’s a fact and YES I want Dan to wake the hell up and run as fast as he can but I would never hate him and BLAME him for the situation he is in and I will never support dan hate in the fandom
