I'm pretty sure, he's supposed to be a (criminal) psychopath.
That would mean, while his father certainly didn't help things with his twisted views or how his mother treated him in general before her suicide, Jihwan would have probably always turned out a little...different than most people.
I wonder, if there'll ever be an official in universe diagnosis for him. Or a clarification on the author's part.
Maybe author meant him to be a psychopath but it didn’t work out since ML has traits that a psychopath wouldn’t have. He definitely seems more like a sociopath
I feel like the enviroment shaped him. I dont think he would be like this if he had sane parents.Like his mom and dad looked at him like a pest.That can break the strongest ngl. Anyways you cant really know if he would be the same or not
He did feel happy when his mom was kind to him. Its way hard to put a diagnosis,i think certain diagnosis cant be made until the patient reached a certain age.like you cant say either for sure.Psychosis has many causes and there is way more that psychopath id sociopath

Jihwan has severe issues,but was there anyone sane around him?…..Child abuse,child neglect,he never had a proper model how to act.
Obviously he separated himself from his emotions,he seems really dissociated imo. Very disturbed. He woke to his own mom in a pool of blood.And he was happy he got to sleep with her.
.So im not sure if he was born or made this way.His friend coming after his mom kil**d herself in the same bed….talking about his mom sleeping with his when he is scared. I blame the messed up adults
