His mom is definitely sus, but I don't think the Queen could have any sort of sidegigs due to her position (having a whole store, apprentice etc) away from the palace - maybe she's involved in the mystery surrounding his curse though? And that's how the royal family showed up as a connecting card
it's all beginning to tie together - I have a theory that the one Miranda was apprentice under is the headwitch.
