Shows you have no media literacy because the way the author portrays something influences how consumers understand media. If an author uses rape as a plot device in which it’s not portrayed correctly in its complexity then people will not understand the complexity of rape because it’s only shown as this specific device. In yaoi instances it’s used to show the purity of the uke because they’re seen as more feminine and they end up liking the rape/sex later on despite initially saying no but this has unintended consequences on the reader who take in the information and become desensitized and do not fully understand the complexity of rape and rape victims.
And manga, anime, books etc are forms of media. And yes media can influence morality because it’s one if the top factors of socialization family, religion, and culture. In fact it’s literally the 3rd highest.

Never do I say that the Author is so good at portrayal of mental illness. I also never said that the story is for best showing of mental illness. Nor do I say that this story shows good relationship and healthy love story.
And I would say so myself that the author's take on the topic are down bad and even calling at as far as it's for people who are pleasure induced.

They do cater to pleasure, and they know that. Which is why they shouldn’t use complex subjects like rape as a device to further the plot if it’s not going to be portrayed properly because it’s not necessary to the plot so what’s the point of doing it besides holding purity standards. It has unintended consequences as regardless if the author wanted people to get a different purpose of it.
