I feel it’s cause the seme and uke actually like each other and the author can properly display that
you can genuinely feel how this one sided infatuation grew from just a sexual connection to a romantic relationship. i think its also bc the characters not only displayed soft loving eyes but shared the awkward and cringe feelings that comes with discovering love. its also the lil dislikes that turn into traits that you can't help but adore in your person (人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+
