Cause that's not his kid.. It's the original owner's son..
The point was, that he was all concerned and taking care of the one child who had a caring father present (while claiming to care for and love children) but he showed no concern or care for his now biological son who was either left at home alone or with his evil family.
Most of the manhuas aren't actually good in portraying emotions that are realistic.. They can be like "out of sight, out of mind".. Here he didn't even think of contacting the original's child the whole night..
