I might go into a tangent so bare with me lol. its a fantasy, more or less. its typically between two reasons. one of the idea is mainly rooted in misogyny that ukes are petite and feminine with a small body are ideal of what ukes should be. playing into a gender role stereotype for men. they get projected hard because people have a notion of who's the woman and the man in the relationship? so then they proceed with the same idea of portraying those roles into stories. it's just a really common trope to begin with in all forms of romance novels or movies, having abusive ideologies converse into "its just possessiveness" when in reality its nothing like that. it just ads another layer with gay people because of the heteronormative idea that there should be a woman in the relationship.
Very very heartbreaking story of seme

genuine question but do authors hate the uke in their stories? I never ever read about the seme being abused, manipulated, gaslit, their lives are never ruined, they never fall in love with abusive assholes who destroy them. So like are authors taking their frustrations out on ukes? not that I wanna read the opposite you know I have to search for hours to find something unproblematic where the seme isn't the biggest piece of shit on the planet, it's getting tiring I guess healthy relationships don't sell as well as toxic shit.
