I also recommend trying it, despite the whole power of friendship thing it’s a very good and unique read in its own right

Honestly seeing him all weak in the start is a great way for him to become strong because if he was overpowered at he beginning then it'll be boring also he never even had a "friend" so what's wrong with the power of friendship heck he never even lived in a spacious house for the majority of his life. Also he gets bullied on a daily basis ofc he'll complain and whine
just reading chapter 3 gives me an ick. it's giving the power of "friendship" vibes. I'm sorry, but this is totally so cringe to read. I can't even straight my face reading it it's so bad. and not to mention the mc being a crying pussy, everytime he whines pisses me off.
