Kinda feel the same tbh. I know it's fiction, but the representation of DID was a bit off-putting. I'm no expert, but I'm aware that those with DID can have multiple alters and live harmoniously together. And they shouldn't "merge" as a fom of healing. But please correct me if I'm wrong ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Yeah the representation of DID was one like at first I was like doubting if this was bipolarity or DID (I'm no expert) but other than that the characters itself and the pace(?) Are also a factor.

And also correct me if I'm wrong isn't DID or it can be a response to trauma and a like also serves as a defense mechanism?

From what I know, yes. Typically, individuals develop DID in response to severe childhood trauma, but it can also occur in response to trauma at any age. These alters develop as a means to protect oneself; new alters can appear and also disappear, but not like in the webtoon haha (not from what I know anyway).

I've also heard from therapists speaking about it, is that you should never try to get alters to merge or disappear. Much less ask whose the "real" one. They're all real and can host the person, sometimes at the same time. But now I'm getting too serious for a BL xD
