i just think he's more in touch with his feelings than cirrus. it did kiiinda go unnoticed but there was a build up. when he did realize something he kinda just accepted it i guess. i mean- what else can he do than acknowledge it?
however i never really pick up on social, human and plot stuff unless someone mentions it first, so i very likely missed a lot of context

This honestly makes more sense, I feel like he just pities him a lot since he’s reminded of himself when he was in a similar situation ?? so now he’s confused with it with “love” ?? thats like the most I can take away since he was questioning his actions too because for the most part, he didn't want to be involved with Cirrus and his bs at all.
does Skylar actually likes him genuinely? the confession was so out of nowhere imo, even him was questioning himself was does he actually want from cirrus or why did he do all that.
