Or it could be the opposite! Dan hears his grandmother is sick, he's unable to leave and she dies without him. Then all hell breaks loose!
That's a very plausible theory for this,but I really hope it doesn't happen for Dan's sake because imagine the abuse he'll suffer. If we're hoping for J to undergo a redemption arc, maybe he forces Dan to stay for his jinx even as Dan's grandma is dying and Dan loses all respect for him and leaves after sex and in the emotional distress he can't understand Jaekyung loses the match and becomes super injured.

nah bc i thought of smt.. like we can see dan and jaekyung n the team going to america right? so technically dan is leaving his grandma alone in korea for the time being right? what if dan's grandma dies/gets insanely sick while hes in america and dan hurries up to go meet his grandma the NIGHT BEFORE jaekyung's match? jaekyung wont be able to fuck dan to fix his jinx he'd lose the match with the american guy, then the news would spread that jaekyung indeed has a numbered days and blah blah bc he was alwyas undefeated but bc of his shoulder blah blah and wtv ANYWAYS MY THEORY
