Nvm, I read the second comment below you and I understand what this is all about, yeah
It's crazy how people are bringing that up as I thought it was obviously past tense (although it's true the order is all over)
Whenever Im feeling dumb I remember there's still 19 days -fans-, once again, FANS, that still don't have any clue how the storyline is... its not that hard, really, if you put your two neurons to work you'll realize they're still in middle school, all we're seeing is happening in the past, Christmas special happens with them at the present AFTER Jian Yi returned, because he was KIDNAPPED on the first day of HIGHSCHOOL as it was EXPLAINED on the first 50 chapters. He tien and Mo were NEVER a slowburn, they actually kissed almost ~40/50 days after their FIRST encounter. It was slowburn for us, for them was love at first sight.
