I think she's just testing him because she knew about her son's preferences all along, now she wants to make sure he made the right choice because male part of the family only think how the relationship will affect the work (evo tho they are supportive). I just wait for her to start laughing. Seems like the two of them will actually go along very well

But of course she can just be super sneaky and not all that nice
