You can literally call them back. Being kind and hugging him back and telling him you really need to check up on the call, reassuring the person you JUST had this big moment with, and then going to take your call or call the person back would take literal seconds. Especially after he confessed as teens and then blocked him and moved without saying goodbye. The author framed it as hurtful for a reason - there will definitely be a time he has to reconcile with the way he acts and is curt and cuts people off and doesn’t think of their feelings. That’s clearly what the author is setting up

He said it’s a work call but dude tried to feel him up- that’s a no in the real world. I know lots of authors use that setup for sexy times but it doesn’t work irl not when you’re freelancing and need every client so needing to pay attention to the call is important. The other dude should apologize for making that move.
