Some of you sound crazy...

Chief Jang deserves all the hell that he can possibly get for the shit he has been pulling, but saying to kill his daughter that may have nothing to with all of it is wild. First, kids do not pick their parents. Why should she have to die for the sins of her father? You can say up and down that her father killed up a bunch of innocent people and therefore to stick it to him she needs to die, but baby that really should not be the concensus yall make. Her father should be paying for his sins ALONE. Shitty thing about negative Karma, is that if you build up too much of it, it will also affect those closest to you. So to see him sweating and nervous now that is daughter is in the mix makes me excited because that bastard is finally experiencing some type of hell, but I hope his daughter get out of it mostly unscathed because she didn't do anything to deserves the crazy that is finna hit her doorstep.

ppl not caring about them is what happens to npcs that aren't unique/fleshed out and don't seem like they will be
now that I'm thinking abiut it this trope of innocent/totally didn't notice anything and surely would judge if she knew character is so obv I'm kinda expecting a hint/reveal of idk she's twisted/planned sth or she's adopted or anything

If we find out she crazy and wrapped up in this in some way, she can get the smoke too. Also trust and believe I'm familiar with the trope of having an extra just there as a plot piece, but it never fails to shock me how unforgiving and cruel some readers. This is not real life by a mile, but "not caring about a npc that's not fleshed out" is like saying I don't give a fuc about my neighbor cause I've only seen them twice, and I heard their family is on trial for murder, hope they die too. Like what? Lol Like no benefit of the doubt or nothing. Then the second someone finds out she was completely innocent "Poor girl, it's too bad she had a shit father. She didn't deserve that." But you just told her to die a few comments ago. Lol Like hell, I've seen quite of few tropes where you think someone is innocent and you find out they aren't in one way or another, and I'm all for them catching the hell they deserve, but I swear some of these comments can be telling of people. And this is nothing aggressive to you Lulu, it's just I find some people's point of view wild sometimes.

hmm I get you I get you I'll be the last to advocate against moral compass in fiction btw, this is jus for argument's sake and you're making valid points either way

I think most people do have empathy for innocent npcs/most characters but it rlly does depend on the portrayal/timing ig when reading if guided properly like the innocent simple girl was jus a lil more convincing/impactful which you can be without being fleshed out this is more like I think a story telling issue or sth
but then again there are many factors such as personal influences that play into this. By detaching your emotions and not sympathizing you are also protecting your own emotions to not feel the pain but jus the " entertainment " part, one might need rn
ofc readers caught in mc's pov/thoughts easily or in a mood (raaah violencee etc) either way that logically they would not agree with
idea of killing/inflicting the pain inflicted on you to the beloved of sb to " punish " them was always emotionally immature especially in this scenario where the person in question is a child, no question
this is also a case of jus because it's fiction and because of the repitition of character patterns the readers don't try to sympathize until spoonfed emotion they're supposed to feel by narrative
a mad person might say this allows them to play with hypothetical plotlines more " freely " I think this is majority of what they're trying to do by mentioning her de@th

what I said is pretty self-explanatory/obv now that I think about it so don't feel pressured to respond this is jus me pondering this ig

like there's insane creatures that (sympathize is too much already but even) cheer/hope for ' redemption ' like development of disgusting characters where they are (magically) portrayed as forgiven when it's not possible to- nvm don't get me started
just for the sake of sth being in their mind " interesting " when actually they're jus projecting sth onto these characters which is a reflection of self and/or their surroundings/emotional situation and by doing this they want to satisfy these subconscious underlying emotions that -
but that whole thing is probably human(healthy? if works? even if not can one not project what is projecting if not the perspective shaped by self perception) and we all do it
is it the extent of projection that differs (can that even differ from human to human?) limited by the awareness/self-reflection( feels like sth that cannot be changed/influenced consciously as it's blocked by emotion easily)
probably the healthy relationship with own emotions/mind but then again consuming these questionable fictional media and forming their silly little scenarios/opinions on characters and venting/working out their negative feelings they either immerse themselves or overcome it
in order to stay rooted in rational sense of morality is it then to detach from all the negative emotions that may tempt you to vent them as a short-term solution
but not all negative feelings may divert one from their sense of morality... well.

so yeah they might jus be sum emotionally numb/detached/lacking emotional capacity/disturbed by irl influences influencing their emotional perspective aka struggling/just young readers here who are still in development ofc

    sry for the rant

actually, the lil boy spy and her they could become acquainted/friends or sth that would be interesting

You know, I always tell people to look at things at all angles because everything is not always as it appears, but sometimes I forget to do that. Your take is a fresh one, and not something I considered. Lol And no problem about the rant, I do it often enough myself. Not gonna lie, was thinking something along the lines of what if she really was dangerous but didn't know. Like the whole brainwash killer trope with a mental trigger to snap them in and out of it and it was something her father did because he is just that much a piece of shit that he would use his daughter too. Guess we will have to wait and see~ I really do hope she's not an enemy though~
