It’s Korea. So the legal ages are different. Technically they say legal age over there is 21 (could be wrong, but I’ve seen many stories where a character who is 20 say they’re still underage). So likely he’s at least 20.
He used to be a runaway as well and had a family pick him up and give him a home, education, etc. with the promise that he’d repay that with doing the same thing for someone in the future. So when he saw the mc on the same bus stop he saw the opportunity to pay back his adoptive parents or smth like that.
Also the mc was the one who started things, not the ml.
