It's not about only one role... It's about VERSALITY... People are tired of that d*** prejudices against gay men, like they only play one role... Men should write more BL because at least they don't have this stereotype of gay men being petty about doing both roles...
Agree with the point of queer men should write more BL. I have no prob with some people wanting them to switch... Damn I'd love to see that! That would be some fresh air. The problem is with those people saying "awww..the top should be bottom coz his character is so fit to be bottom" like... are we gatekeeping how a top and a bottom should act now... is the BL brainwashing us so much that the pretty on should be taking the dick and the cold one should be the one who's doing thrusting..... that fucked up...

That I agree with... I feel like female authors can't accept the fact that men can do both... One of them MUST do only one role, should be afeminate, should be "pure" (like virgin stuff which makes me cringe too much, specially when the characters are already mid 20's)...
Like... The thing on this Manhwa that makes me a little odd is with this issue, but switched... Like, she puts Seo An as an only top at some point but then he flips to bottom and it seems like he won't be a top anymore, meanwhile the other one seems to hate the idea of bottoming so much he won't ever be a bottom... Everyone have preferences, we know that, some like to be the top more like others prefer to bottom... But there's no single gay man out there who won't ever do both roles...
Anyway... Sorry for the long text, I needed to vent my frustrations since I don't have many friends to share this with LOL

I 100% agree with everything you said. Thats exactly my issue with most yaoi content and lack of "switch" couples/versatility. They're always strictly one or the other?! like you said, Seo An was a top but agreed to bottom for their first time. If he keeps being the bottom it's a one-sided compromise and that's what I don't like. They're both men, why should they always have a fixed role in bed?
To those who doesn't like the top and bottom role on this one just go.... we've have enough BL story that has "pretty, damsel in distress, can't stand on their own" ukes out there... hell, I think 80% of bl stories are like this. leave this story alone for the people who's appreciate the non "heterosexualification" for both roles. Top can be cute and submissive, and bottom can spank you in the ass. It is how it is...
