Its fcking complicated especially since men in relationship is illegal and frowned upon. Do u not see how SASYA HAS BEEN GOING WITH THE FLOW WITH KAREL? He quite literally goes whatever floats with karel, vice versa. But no matter what you and some other ppl do Sasya is still not mentally stable and has a trauma. Hence why Sasya has a deep depression and suicidal tendencies. You are right that he has everything worked out by being with karel but you cant just expect trauma to be gone just cause. Sasya literally loss his family which makes sense why he has abandonment issues. Also you need to actually open your eyes because even KAREL ISNT MENTALLY STABLE. Like idk if you know but that ain’t a healthy relationship of what his been doing. Like it’s hard to explain but he himself isn’t doing good, their relationship was bound to be toxic and not end well.
First of all, don’t gotta be rude here, second of all, I completely understand sasya having horrible trauma and not being able to trust anybody but I’m saying it didn’t make sense to me why he wished to be treated better and then when he was treated better he was like nah peace out. Like I genuinely thought that Karel’s love was sweet and pure that’s why I was thinking like sasya was leading him on or just going with the flow and deep down Karel knew it but was just happy that he could be together with sasya and I felt bad for him like he’s so hurt that his one love won’t even love him back and never seems satisfied. Like Sasya had so much time and space and love to grow and heal and become what he wanted to be but he kept ruining it by disappearing or sabotaging the person who loved and cared for him and it didn’t make sense and was just painful to see Karel go through that. Like Sasya left a good position to once again go and be treated horribly again like bruh what. And the fact that they’re gay in this story has nothing to do with it considering it hasn’t affected them so far up till now. I did doubt Karel’s mental stability considering he seems to be smothering Sasya but it’s still love and something Sasya can use to grow and heal and maybe eventually leave Karel once he’s grown but it just didn’t make sense why he needed to hurt Karel to gain nothing in the end. I still think he shouldn’t have shown his face when he got the news that Karel died and he's awful for begging for Karel back at this point cause you can see he’s already dead inside.

Karel’s love is sweet and pure?? Babes, we MUST be reading two completely different stories because there is absolutely nothing sweet and pure about obsession to the point of becoming toxic, and suffocating to the point where you basically have to imprison the one you love. That’s not how pure love works. And that is not how trauma works either. I don’t know why readers like you find fault with every minute thing Sasya does or doesn’t do yet blatantly ignore the fact that Karel is toxic as all hell. Does he love Sasya? Sure but in a completely toxic obsession sort of way. The fact that Sasya ended up telling Julian more about his issues than Karel is very telling.

Gahhhh I’m so mad at sasya in all of this like he had literally everything he could’ve ever asked for and he threw it all away multiple times then has the audacity to come crawling back to Karel like hell nah you deserve to be on your own for what you did. And I’m trying to figure out like why was sasya scared of karel sm while they were having sex and I wanna know if it’s implying that his love for sasya isn’t really love and sasya never really liked him in the first place but now after the war and Karel appears suddenly he does??? Like the first few pages of the whole story shows a happy ending but I can’t see how at this point. Also Julian is a real asshole for treating sasya like that in the beginning like why was he so mean to him?? But now suddenly he’s nice to him?
