Honestly this manhwa has covered a lot of different topics, and this one is pretty relevant as it's been a topic of conversation among real sex workers. Not sure what the issue is here, and personally I thought it was handled pretty well here. Super wholesome. Also bear in mind that we don't know what the upcoming chapters are gonna be about yet.
If I'm being honest you might want to look inwards and really ask yourself why you're so annoyed by this chapter in particular, when compared to the rest of the manhwa. Even if you think you're not actively and openly transphobic, you might unknowingly harbor some prejudice. This is coming from someone who had to do their own soul searching back in the day ༼ つ ◕‿◕ ༽つ
personally it’s not just this chapter in particular that irked me at all, i’ve been leaving shitty comments throughout the course of this manhwa because i’m irritated at the unnecessary tangents and side stories that stray from the original plot and serve only as a filler. it’s just that this chapter is the one that drove me to drop it, since in my eyes it seems ingenuine and definitely could’ve been implemented into the storyline in a way that doesn’t seem like blatant fishing for approval and kudos from readers
Have you maybe considered that this BL might actually be more about slice-of-life sex working stories than a gritty underground tale? Yes the protagonist may have come from a yakuza family, but by now a reader would realize that after all of the individual stories of multiple characters portrayed in the series, the background of the protagonist is just used as a means for why he’s working there, and that’s not actually the plot of the story. Male sex workers and their random encounters on their job IS the story.
That is to say, maybe this story’s format is not for you.
am i transphobic for thinking this was an unnecessary filler chapter that contributed absolutely nothing other than giving the author brownie points
