I don't understand why that boomer is undermining guides. He knows the role of guides in soothing espers, who are fucking superhumans, right? Espers care for guides. Guide not happy, esper not happy. You'd think the people in power would bend the knee for espers, doing everything they can to keep these superhumans and the only people who can soothe them (guides) happy. In stories like these, why do they keep testing the limit of the patience of these superhumans, who could so easily kill weaklings like that boomer?
