I agree with you about the fact that the Mangaka worked hard on it but there will always be people with a difference in opinion. The comments exit to give some type of feedback or express your thoughts and opinions on what you have read. There will always be both positive and negative comments. It might be true that people are wasting their time on reading something that they dont like but at the same time, once you’ve gotten too deep in, you can’t just get out and stop reading.
And also, i don’t think people are hating on it bc they don’t like this type of story, but bc it’s just not so well done in their opinion. (I dont speak for all). And most of all, the feelings aren’t romantic, it’s a mental illness or a coping mechanism called Stockholm syndrome. However, if you wish to picture it that way, then go ahead. And I do agree with you about the fact that, if the author was deliberately trying to make Sora into an extremely unlikable character, then they succeeded.
Also, the same way you’re telling other people to not read and waste their time on manga they don’t like, you should also not waste you’re time on reading the uploader’s comments if you don’t want to. At first, I didn’t read them either but later on when I wanted to, I did. It’s not so hard. And please don’t be so hateful in your comments, everyone has their own opinions that could always be argued upon.
I have read so many hateful comments on this story… Well, respecting the disrespectful in this comment section feels as reasonable as tolerating racists.
Yeah, of course I tried not reading the uploaders comments - but they are written so big, it is difficult not to get a glimpse while the PC is still loading the next chapter. Hower you put it, spoiling readers is still a no go.
Not romantic, you say… I have been wondering for a while now, whether feelings developed under Stockholm Syndrome are not in the least comparable to “normal” love. I guess, only those in the situation can tell. At least it seems pretty much the real deal to them. I think, whether this kind of relationship has a chance for as much happiness and romance as “normal” couples, depends a lot on how it goes on. Sora and Taiyo worked more or less 100 chapters on that part.
In fiction I am not against some Stockholm and I can very well call that romantic as long as the oppressor develops a nice little Lima syndrome.
Actually, as a former redrawer for a scanlation group, I know what putting in effort means. Investing some money is not that much of a deal, if you want to read the story anyway. And just a slight reminder: Uploading commercially translated stuff is still plain illegal. She didn’t even give the author a chance to make some money, as she didn’t tell where readers can get the chapters. In this case it is not even easy finding the official app. So she did it for her own rotten fame and fun.
Actually, in some of the screenshots you can see where the uploader bought the chapters. And also, this IS an illegal website so I don’t know what you were expecting. If wanted to know where they bought it and want to support the author, then you can buy it on coolmic. A lot of uploaders also put a note at the saying that you can support the author by buying the manga too.
Oh shit, that’s bad. Well, maybe you can close your eyes while the pc is loading? Imao idk. Just trynna help. And I agree that spoiling is not good.
Yeah, I guess it’s pretty real to them but I mean the way they developed those feelings are not in the least a good way. But like you said, I guess only those in the situation would know.
But the thing is, (in my opinion) since taiyo and sora had a toxic and unhealthy relationship from the beginning, it would have made more sense if at the end, they still had the same type of relationship. Maybe not as toxic but yk? They both ended up with an unhealthy obsession with each other so I mean it’s just kinda weird that in the end they had the most healthiest relationships ever.
Also I’m a bit curious about our differences in opinions. Like what made you like this story more than most others did? I would like to know so maybe we could talk about it? Just trying to respect everyone’s opinions.
I get it, not everyone is so weak to this kind of trope as I am. But 100 pages of hate-rage against this story? Is this really necessary? If you don't like it, why do you waste your time? There are enough cute stories with nice clean black and white charas out there, as they seem so much in trend nowadays.
In general: Please, respect the work of authors! Making a Manga is not just about being good at drawing. Creating a story and telling it in a way people can understand and enjoy is really hard work! Everyone who gives it a try (even only writing) will soon realise and start respecting at least the effort.
In my opinion, at least up to chapter 100 Mangaka-san did a really good job creating a tough and steamy story. I myself had no problem following the reasoning of the characters at all. Also, it is not easy to create such a hateable character like Sora - many authors fail this trope because it is mentally hard to make your protagonists so badass or suffer so much.
In the second half of the story, I admit, it got a little bit more difficult to follow their trail of thoughts and some twists came out of nowhere. Stil, Mangaka-san put a lot of work into cleaning the emotional mess of the first half up and showing us the MCs strength, nice deep sidecharacters and Soras remorse. There was sufficient character development for my taste - though I admit that might be because I love this kind of story and my brain already subconciously hunts down every fleeting hint of romantical emotions.
I really think, this poor manga is so underrated, mainly because of one dark character or rather, because nowadays the audience tends to be more resentful than the MC. And plotless shit like "Window to Window" gets a rating of 9.2. It is so unfair.
All in all, to me, the worst about this story was the uploader. Okay, even only ripping it from some App where it already has been translatet IS quite some work, so a little bit of SCREAMING OUT YOUR F*CKING THOUGHTS ON EVERY CHAPTER IN A WAY READERS CAN HARDLY NOT READ IT is something illegal readers have to bear with. But WHY THE SHIT DO THEY HAVE TO SPOILER F*CKING 30 CHAPTERS AHEAD? Learn some basic manners! Please!
