I do have to say the plot itself isn’t terrible, but I do have a hard time swallowing that the author seems to be saying:
Dark skin + freckles = ugly
There might be more to her than what meets the eye because she smells sweet.
Like WHAT.
I would have much rather have the character do a terrible makeup job that makes her look ugly.
Messy mascara/ overused blush/ wrong shade lipstick
The author isn't trying to say that at all. It's because of the era this manhwa takes place at. Usually pale white sking with no marks on your face is considered a beauty but the way i see the author is trying to show that even if you don't fit the standards of other people you are still beautiful the way you are. Most people forget how much beauty standards has changed so it's understandable that some people in the comments are calling it racist.
AUGH- HELP NOT THE TWILIGHT REFERENCE
So we have a racist as an mc and fucking dogs as maleleads. They are like "arghh she's so fucking ugly cause she's has dark skin but the sweet smell tho! I bet her pu**y tastes like heaven." God this is so trash level . It reminds me of Twilight era. "Eddie! Jacob! Is that you? It's me! I smell sweet right!" ╮(￣▽￣)╭
