I Heard people say It was banned because of violence, but I think It is because the enemy of the MC was the central goberment, that protected fate gu, a chain that restrained the whole world, while the MC fought to destroy It. Claiming that they were useful in the past but should let go and give freedom a chance. All the while being described as a bunch of old fashioned schemers and manipulators.
Maybe I'm reading too mucho into It.

Your reasoning make more sense because there are many cruel, heartless and weird manhua, novel especially, out there and then they choose to ban this one, it's very rare that readers get good stuff like these without any annoying character, story having solid plot line, I don't know if this author has any other works translated in english, would love to read it.
I also hoped for master of gu to continue but I guess it's time for me to let go of that hope.
Give me more anti hero/evil hero without any love interest
