Nah I think most bl authors make bl (especially yaoi) for themselves. I mean if they do it for money, popular genres that any kind of people can enjoy would benefit more.
EXACTLY. Ppl mostly write for themselves first and foremost. Money making is if there's a good amount of an audience. So either there is a huge following for these types of drama, or they're just not made for you or ppl who like these kinds of tropes.
Yaoi is a rotten genre anw. Idk why some ppl expect good plots from them. I always think of good plot in yaoi as a bonus lol
well it's just my opinion tho. because i felt here that they just want money over it since the plot isn't even interesting. it felt like "as long as it's yaoi, someone will read it". writing is passion wether the plot is dark/rotten etc, for me okay. this felt like there is no effort or whatever put on the storyline. just look at killing stalking the plot was dark but brilliant.
this story felt like "im gonna sell clothes since a lot people buy clothes" but also as a buyer "im gonna buy clothes but i better buy the clothes that's looks good" and for me this manga is not that good.
I agree. Not all readers pay though.
And not everyone has the ability to create top-notch content.
Not everyone cooks well, sews well. Etc. etc. I'm a terrible creator, but a good emulator. I can also be a good editor. But by-no-means a /good/ creator.
What I hear is also some works get clearance for distribution and some don't. So it is a profit margin kind of deal. Some ppl like trash novels, others like high-end literature and forms of art.
why? are they writing bl stories now just because they thought all fujoshi/fudanshi were gonna read it? we also want plot yaknow. i dunno for me it seems like they just made this for money. well if that's not what the author thinks i hope they can make better ones one day.
