Whats that about? Is it a movie?
it’s a period film (set around late 1800s thru early 1900s). maurice (the protagonist?) becomes involved with another man, clive, at college. maurice becomes engrossed with clive, but due to the trauma of the incarceration of a friend of theirs for sodomy, they never consummate anything. clive decides to get married, and tries to keep maurice around as a friend—“for old times sake”. maurice ruminates on their relationship during the film, tries to get conversion therapy, but is later seduced by maurice’s male servant, alec. it’s a great film, i thoroughly recommend

I remember seeing that movie so long ago with Hugh Grant playing Clive! It's a great work, I hope to watch it again soon.
