I wouldn't say they redeem him, he's still seen as a piece of shit but he does help them at one point which gives him a few points I guess
He can do whatever he wants I just don't want Iliyan to forgive him, neither do I want to see a half assed apology or shit from that literal shit no amount of backstory is going to redeem or in this case earn him points in my book
