^ exactly what the person above me said. He saw her once and heard about her family background he formed expectations and thought she was his ideal girl. He liked the IDEA he made of her. When he ACTUALLY talked to her for the first time, his expectations of her were broken since he obviously knew barely anything about her. It’s normal to think that way. But then he truly started liking her as a person when yoshino showed she was definitely that bish not to be messed with

Another example is: let’s say there’s a guy you see in the halls at school, you think he’s cute and can’t help but be attracted to him. You wanna know more about him. Then you have the opportunity to meet him and get to know him, and you realize his personality is completely different from what you expected. Many people actually go through this and are often let-down because of their high expectations.
How the f*ck does that "love at first sight" (prob) evolve in "she's just like any a spoiled and overprotected yakuza daughter" of the first chapters?! Or am I delusional? I remember he truly fell for her after she reveals she's not any other girl but a badass.
