so basically what happened before that was that Punpun and Aiko(the girl) together killed Aiko's mother and then they were on the run at that point she and Punpun were in a toxic relationship, I don't think the suicide was premeditated it was more spontaneous she couldn't deal with the pain so she killed herself, through the story the only thing she wanted was happiness and after all that I feel like she thought she was far away from that happiness.
This is also a good response I found more in detail "The reason Aiko killed herself. This was because when they found out her mothers body was discovered she realised that herself and punpun could not have a happy and normal future with each other. As she knew they couldn’t run forever and they’d eventually be caught. And to add to this punpun said he’d take all the blame for it. Aiko wanted a normal and happy future with punpun as before her mothers body was discovered she found a job they could both do on a farm together and she was delighted with it only to find out a few moments later than her mothers body was discovered that opportunity vanished and that’s when she realised she couldn’t have a happy and normal future with punpun. And when punpun said he’d take all the blame aiko realised if he did go through with that she would be all alone again and that was the last thing she wanted. And before she killed herself she realised her wish had come true which was punpun loving her. After she realised this she felt fulfilled and a burden was lifted from her shoulders and her dream and wish had come true. With her wish coming true and their future together ruined she realised she had nothing left to live for and she’d continue being stressed, depressed and lonely for the rest of her life. Thus leading to her committing suicide."
Oh and I wouldn't say punpun drove the girl to commit much differently.

Does anyone know spoilers for Goodnight Punpun? I saw someone saying that the MC drove that girl to her death. Does anybody know the context behind that? I don't wanna read it 'cause I know that shits sad asf, but I REALLY wanna know.
