It's historical and the main character is essentially the property of the male lead so no. They'll never have healthy dynamic or relationship plus the ml killed his whole family like you said. It's more interesting than that tbh, very cat and mouse, like will the male lead let his guard down and is the Mc cunning enough to exact his revenge and will feelings at any point get in either of their ways. Although I think there's way more to the mcs father being killed and he's focusing on the wrong person, the ml is just the blade of the king, and does what's ordered, it's not personal for him so the plot outside of their relationship is v good so far.

I get the appeal ur talking ab but I feel like I overindulged on stories that have messed up dynamics and now I can only bring myself to read non messed up romances . It’s good to know the plot is actually well developed because I feel like a lot of stories w smut r hit or miss; sometimes it’s literally smut scene after smut scene and the plot never gets going and I can’t stand it. I think I’m just going to continue periodically checking up on the story by ur reply then
Sm1 tell me what the story is like, toxic? Well written plot? Healthy relationship (obv not since dude literally killed his family) but does the couple seem like they can have a good relationship? Lmk. I read the first few chapters while they were being released and check back on it time to time but I don’t want to read a story with shitty/ unenjoyable plot and characters. Esp the ml is he redeemable or no? If not I’m prob not gonna read.. honestly sick of reading shitty bl stories
