100% it was a condom. Lots of panels during that chapter were censored to heck. Li wearing a black shirt in most of the scenes, while his chibi and morning scenes thereafter have him topless.

Did they censor a condom being opened? The SFX says tear or something but it looks like a handie, so idk what's going on in that one panel.
The Chinese censorship always makes you put so much guesswork into it, it's like a game! But it must be so disappointing for the artists for their work to just get butchered.
