Some Advice

Some You need to separate BL from Real life, or you will get triggered/upset all the time (especially if you like reading BL with smut)

BL is toxic. I won't deny that.

You can hate a character, you can like a character and later on hate that character, you can start liking the character you previously hated , that's perfectly okay and understandable.

but the minute you start comparing BL to real life situations it will upset you. I know cause I did it int he past. But you learn to separate the two

In BL abuse is forgiven, grape is forgiven, when things like that happened in real life, of course the perpetrator should be locked up, of cause the victim should never forgive that person unless they wanted to on their own terms and of course I understand it's not always so black and white in real life, but the point I'm making is that abuse, grape ect is not romantized in real life.

“So, it's okay as long as it's fiction, yaoi?”Yes. It’s okay to have a plot like this in Yaoi fiction. Face it. As long as the book has the right audience and people know their preferences and interests. ... Manhwaspicy

And I added "We all know here it's fiction". There are all kinds of yaois, I really have no problem with that. But EATING everyting just because it's yaoi and fiction is not very intelligent.
Everyone have their own standards and experience, journey with an art work (book, movie...); telling people to accept everything under the pretext that's fiction is ridiculous and direspectful for the reader like the author.
Yaoi, like Hentai, porn... is the only genre where people are so loose with morals and have low standards in terms of writing.
When we set foot in Shonen, Seinen genres, authors can't just write bullcrap or whatever they want.
There are norms and limits and Art isn't any different from the rest. This is the very reason why child porn is banished in our countries, cause even if it's fictional we can't show everything. The same way, we won't see books glorifying atrocities and rape in bookstores.
There are serial killer and ghost stories, etc, but there is always a moral in these; murder gets arrested in the end, ghosts get chased away... Bad guys lose, heroes win, justice prevails... However when it comes to yaoi and because "it's fiction", we can see the mc end game with his abuser and it's normal, cause well "it's not real" and "whatever we're here for the porn!". This is funny. Of course I'm not speaking particularly for Jinx.
You want your porn and no hating, though if it's a controversial and provocative content, it's too easy to want to silence those who have other standards than yours.

Jinx IS NOT unique, sorry to say, there are tons of Korean yaois here with the Rich Asshole Seme x Poor Endebted Uke, and many readers are geting tired of that overused trope.
The art is what saves the day in Jinx, trust me.
What's unique in Jinx is the Art, the personality of both characters (especially JK) and particularly their dynamics...
About Dan falling for Jaekyung, I don't see one good reason at the moment for him to be, especially with the way JK treats him with direspect. And the fact there's not POV neither from Dan's or JK's doesn't help to understand better their motivations...

I really do get your point and I agree with you on some things.

But your point doesn't correlate with Jinx. The only thing Jk is doing to Dan is disrespecting him and abusing him. The whole point of this Toxic trope is authors show how the characters can change in proportion to love. There has always been a moral in these toxic behaviors where the one at fault suffers too. Like in Bj Alex, Alex suffered more than you can think. They don't necessarily need to go to jail. In my opinion, I feel jail doesn't even cure that crime, it just makes you regret and when the perpetrators are out, they repeat the same thing. It is literally the same thing when I compare it to murder and slasher films.

But that's not the same case as love. Love changes a person to the point they can give up on their love just for the partner that they love to love another. This is one of the reasons why all these toxic characters are put in the romance genre. Toxicity adds spice and it is entertaining and interesting according to most readers(according to me). So it is okay as long as people are enjoying it and as long as the abuser suffers extensively.

People should read what is suitable for them. Criticising a book you don't like is very stupid knowing people enjoy things like this. You can give your thoughts, yes, but stating and repeating the same shit isn't giving an opinion anymore. You're just drawing attention and indirectly judging readers for liking content like this. They are stupid and irresponsible. When you read a book, you should be able to predict so many things and if you feel that content isn't for you, you drop it. As simple as that.

“ the Rich Asshole Seme x Poor Endebted Uke, and many readers are geting tired of that overused trope.”

The trope isn't overused in Bl, it's overused in shoujo. Get that straight. From the way you're talking, it seems you haven't read that much Bls and you're just judging by what you see. Read more bls and come back to me to defend this.

“ The art is what saves the day in Jinx,“

Who would want to read an unattractive manhwa? Attractiveness is what attracts the crowd. It has always attracted the crowd. You're judging a book in 34 chapters? That's no point there.

“ About Dan falling for Jaekyung, I don't see one good reason at the moment for him to be”

Yeah, people are different and can feel different things. Your feelings don't correlate with Dan’s. Dan has feelings for our MMA artist. Accept that dear♡.

Next time you read a story, try understanding it from both perspectives. This way you can understand the characters more.
