I've read the novel, it's kind of frustrating. Because of the ML's position, he was raised to be proud and not to bow down to anyone ( I think all of this stemmed from bad parenting lol). He gets everything he wants, nobody thought him about humility, so when he met the fl and didn't get her something in him clicked. He didn't understand what he was feeling. He didn't realize it was love and thought he was just obsessed with the FL and all of his feelings will disappear once he get sick of her. But it didn't happen so it became more complicated for him. His love became so twisted and became like poison to her. I was about to drop the novel because it was toxic, but I was invested into it. And I'm glad I didn't drop it. There's a character development especially for the ML, it was slow but there is. He love her so much that he didn't let her go and became like poison to her but his love for her also made him realize what sacrifices he can do just for her, he let her go and made sure that nothing can take away their baby from her. I don't want to go into much details because I don't want to spoil it. All of the characters are imperfect, so imperfect that they felt so real. I think that's what made this manhwa interesting for me.
