So Hwan changed personality because of desperation, which he deserved honestly. . . And it took 2 months, honestly i thought they could've been separated for more time, idk like 6 months?
Hwan would be so miserable, visiting Haejin time to time after the first 2 months, and when he'd look at Haejin's belly he'd cry for forgiveness, saying that nothing matters anymore without them. . .
But even so, Haejin might've already left all his feelings behind at this point, and the real struggle for Hwan would be obtaining Haejin's feelings back. (Idk i felt like this scenario could've made up with Hwan's real desperation, to the point he'd visit Haejin everyday even with busy schedule).
Like. . . the forgiveness part was just Haejin being back to Hwan's, telling him that he will not leave.
Sucks it wasn't a gradual and emotional type of forgiving.

The retribution-redemption balance is ""ok"", whatsoever.
He got punished for not properly take care of Haejin, and also hurting him.
And the redemption was. . . Easily achieved tbh. Haejin let him in his and the baby's life again. Even tho Haejin could've been MORE tough on Hwan.

Haejin is aware that he shouldn't let him be part of his life again, but if he wants to believe and give a second chance to Hwan, then so be it.
Hwan also is aware of his wrong-doing, he became more docile and is learning what it means to take care of someone, and soon a family.

But in all seriousness, none of them has given me the feels that they're mature, Haejin is really child-like and Hwan is just a angsty teenage boy i feel like.

The Tag play chasing Haejin was so ridiculous, it made everything so unserious that i almost hated it.

You need to read the novel it is more detailed there. The chase arc for me makes sense. He was confined, he escaped and Haejin knows he did not make the end of his deal with Hwan and he knows he is influential and have means to find him so he needs to go into hiding. Hwan chases him bec he scared grandma would find out about him and adding up finding out he is pregnant, he was also kinda obsessed (unaware why) so of course it would happen. The chase scene alone was more than 2 or 3 months i think. Haejin agreed to go with him bec of grandma. It is not showed there but Haejin met grandma before and she is bad news that's why he finally gave in to Hwan unwillingly for the baby's sake. Haejin was not only hiding from Hwan but also from grandma. It is almost Haejin's due so it is rougly about 6 months now that Hwan has been taking care of Haejin. So the redemption isnt easily achieved as what you say for me.
