just saying but some ARCs were inspired by real life bullying events... or literally just bullying case but with altered names, faces, schools, and adding na hwajin to deal with it.
but woah, can't believe i find someone in the same boat! i'm also like you, "i found it funnier than offensive because of how absurd it was."
I understand what they were trying to do (which is to say their message that they were trying to portray (?) ), but on the other hand, if true education is meant to be a mix of both social commentary and fantasy (because lets be honest alot of the webtoon isn't realistic in the first place since it is mainly a revenge fantasy with a couple of relatable parts here and there) they still had a duty to at least maintain a semblance of reality so having a island where foreigners are being racist to s.koreans (which isn't false and it does happen) isn't going to be well-received because the chances of that happening in s.korea (a asian country) are extremely low, and aren't reported... (anecdotes don't really count because its very far and few) whereas i feel that foreigners being bullied by s.koreans are much more likely. I could go on, but they really should of done their research properly. honestly I found it funnier than I found it offensive because of how absurd it was.
