It’s a pity the novel isn’t completely translated. Such manhwas that are adapted from novel, most of the time lack the original work’s charm. Either the adaptation comes rather bad, toned down or made fit for young audience, rushed, or just okay, etc. I agree seme wasn’t bad enough to make a fuss about, calling him deceiver or what not. And the “missing something” feeling you mentioned i think comes from not developed and paced like the novel does? Who knows what scenarios novel had and manhwa didn’t? *shrugs*
Actually he didn't go out with that chick he force to go out and they didn't went on date but went on shopping because the chick got the favor of his elder bro. And I kinda understand the younger bro. Cause his too naive and didn't experience a serious romance yet in short his still confused with his feelings and it happens. I agree with the rest of your opinion though. That the seme is not that manipulative enough cause he give the uke a choice. But for me the uke had rights to be doubtful for the seme cause of his wrong decisions imagine that the ex of your bf trying to cut of your finger and worst case scenario you don't know the person who was trying to cut off your finger and of course the seme partly at fault cause he ignore the warning of his ex. The seme is made to look selfish, calculative and manipulative and he does deliver to some extent but damn he really a saint. Maybe I've read far too fucked up shit but what he did was not manipulative enough to call him a very bad person. If you're calling him allat, bruhh make him do shit. Idk y I'm ranting about this but it is kinda pissing me off. Go read harada n you'll know what is an actual manipulative pos lead.
But overall the story is missing something, the concept is really good and new but it's missing. If it was really good, it would have made me go all warm and fuzzy because of the love portrayed or have made me cry because of the pain. I guess there should have been more chapters for it to be developed? Like the younger brother suddenly likes the uke but still goes out with that chick. Why? Why do u suddenly like him? I feel like only the seme was consistent with his actions from the starting to end. I was hoping the uke does a bit of chasing after the seme after getting in his thick skull that he also loves him but oh well. Wasn't a big fan of it tbh.
