I sometimes feel most romance only know how to show a strong woman if she's involved in battle somehow. A lady of a castle has power and can accomplish many things. That she sees no value there I don't like it. But it's something I can critique of most romance so... What Riftan said was not wrong AT THE BEGINNING. She was by no means ready yet she went ahead and put herself into danger. It's obvious she has no self-regard so I support her being restricted and being made to eat all meals and rest as a temporary measure until she gets better and can show she will take care of herself. What I don't support is her being told what to do/not to do as an order forever. It's ludicrous and it's not "stiffening" it's freaking suffocating. FFS they need to communicate. It's like they make one step forward 10 back, and while I get this is a slow burn, there's only so much one can do story wise for that or it gets repetitive and maddening.
