I agree. The author made all the effort of Shokuryou Jinrui's characters gone to waste and its ending be just an illusion from starting this sequel. And made this sequel's not worthwhile again from how it ends. I assume there will be a third sequel which I will not read it again...
If this is the end, then it is really lacking. Feels like author ran out of ideas on how to continue with the story, the last few chapters were pretty disjointed.
