yeah you really need to read the novel my guy. he’s a reincarnator. he was originally from another world aka our earth and was reborn into the fantasy setting we all know. so he’s not a foreigner bc he’s technically native to both worlds, it’s just his second life. but he’s also not special because there’s a crap ton of other reincarnators in the labyrinth. i don’t know too much about the labyrinth either but i’ve been thinking of it as a maze equivalent of “the tower” tropes those hunter manhwa commonly use. if you explore it, you’ll get rewards and stuff
maybe, but the adaptation should at least be understandable to someone who hasn't read the novel if they wanna promote it. Im not saying it has to be AS clear and concise as the og material, but it should still let me get a larger understanding of what the whole things about. Plus, adaptations aren't necessarily promos (but it could be apart of it), they honestly probably make adaptations to make more moni cuz they appeal to a diff audience
yeah that's true, if ORV can do it then other publishers can do it too. I honestly didn't view adaptations as promotions before but I once saw someone commenting that there are tactics that companies use in Animes that are adapted from jnovels are most likely to only have one season so that the audience will read the novel and that they will work on season 2 if the novel hit a certain purchased rate. Take it with a grain of salt but ngl it makes sense.
The material may not be the same but given how crafty capitalism is I guess it happens in manhwa, manga manhua too.
lmao anyways my opinion is that vague introduction of information in visual adaptations is a problem bc capitalism.
They actually explained it at the beginning of this manhwa. He was a reincarnator from earth but in the world he was reincarnated to, "reincarnators" are pretty normal so they're not that special and they normally go to the labyrinth [for a reason I forgot]. There, they hone their skills and such. As far as I know, he went back to his land and from then, something happened.
This is what is special with his situation - a tragic event happened which led to the end of his land and more which caused him to go back in time (this is what he suspects). He thinks that it must be so tragic to him that's why future him created the "system" (inspired by earth tech) to let him digest the memory and to also prevent the tragic event.
Ok I just started readin this and I’m kinda confused. Is the mc a transmigrator or regressor or like none of them (it seems he’s from the world he’s in but like why does he call the status stuff modern, keep on saying earth, and he said he played mmorpgs). And what the fuck is the labyrinth???? Can some please explain the timeline to me I’m confused as fuck
