ur right about portrayal ≠ romantization. but it’s like you’re conveniently forgetting about this author’s formula of writing where she often writes about fucked up characters to redeem in the end as if one redemption arc is enough to overlook the rape and coercion the character has done in the earlier parts of the series. and yes i can judge a book in just 34 chapters are you okay? who said readers cannot critic the media that they’re consuming. and just like i said, if we considered this author’s formula of writing plot lines and character arcs, it’s literally easy to predict how this story will go.
