Yeah, he very much feels like a 2nd ML that authors introduce before ML just to induce a 2nd ML syndrome. I think it just might be the blonde prince. He has a better standing than the duke, he had a 'fateful' encounter with the MC that sort of lead her to the idea of starting her own jewellery shop. Can't really say tbh. (〜￣△￣)〜
Add to that the MC said 'I hope we never cross paths again' or something like that indicating they'll very much meet again. And it feels like they'll have/start off with a love-hate bicker worthy relationship.
